The UV filter doesn't have the kind of coating which adequately reduces flare and other problems, so after running some tests image quality decresed ever so slightly; I won't use it unless the circumstances are harsh enough to demand it. The circular polarizer works well, but has a hard to see horizon indicator which could have been more visible. In the end, they're worth their price and useful.

Bought these filters to go with my brand new Canon T1i. Very happy. Some reviewers mentioned 'if you don't spend $80 on filters, its not worth it.' FALSE. These work great and the polarizer made the colors JUMP. I think every aspiring photographer should have a polorizer because of how vivid they make outdoor shots look. UV looked great for indoor shots as well. Although probably not needed but was used, primarily, to protect the lens. Haven't used the FL just yet, but expect that it will work fine. Definitely a good buy.

i guess 'what you pay is what you get' applies perfectly for this product. i wanted to start using filters so got this as a start-up. the 'red' filter is kinda useless, did not find any good purpose for using it. the plain UV filter is ok, but if you are shooting a light source, the reflection of the light shows up in the picture, usually at the exact opposite spot. the worst was the polarizing filter. i screwed on the filter to my 18-55mm lens and now it's stuck on it! the threads gave away i think and i cannot unscrew them or take it out of the lens. i've tried a lot of different things and i will probably have to take it to a camera shop to get it out.

I ordered this item on 7/31/09 and received it the next day with standard shipping (this might not be the case for everybody but they ship immediately), It was thru Amazon but sold and shipped by Ace Photo Digital, first time I heard of them but like them already.
All filters are sealed individually and all together in a small leather pouch, all have metal rings, if I'm not mistaken are real glass and they all fit perfectly on my Canon EF-S IS 18-55mm f/3.5-5.6 lens and on my Sigma 70-300mm F/4-5.6 APO DG Lens.
UV filter made pics 20% brighter and sharper, FL-D is making everything magenta indoors and out (must play a little more with camera settings to see what it can do) and the CPL is amazing, turning the ring from normal to complete haze and glare reduction.
Can't go wrong with this item, great shipping, great quality, fit and lens protection.

I am not sure what 100$+ filters are made up of, and how they improve your image. But with just 10$ this product is more than 200% worth it. I love the circular polarizer which is great for landscapes. UV filter is not affecting the resolution power of my kit lens in any noticeable way. I don't like the florescent filter though.. But I would pay 10$ just for the CP filter. Look at the images i uploaded.
Note: UV filter gives you some glare as it re-reflects the light bouncing off the lens coating if you are taking pictures of very bright objects like Sun. You can just remove the filter that time.
